SomNed Logistics BV, situated in Rotterdam's bustling harbor, boasts a convenient location that is easily accessible from Germany and Switzerland via inland waterways and the sea. This advantageous position facilitates the handling of petroleum products with ease.
SomNed Logistics BV boasts an extensive collection of tanks, consisting of three tank pits and a variety of tanks with a combined storage capacity of 74,000 cubic meters. Many of these tanks are equipped with sophisticated systems for heating and blending products. Moreover, the terminal has a vast infrastructure that supports multiple modes of transportation, including three jetties for loading and unloading tank barges and seagoing vessels, as well as the ability to load and unload tank trucks and rail tank cars.

SomNed Logistics BV in Houston
Our petroleum tank farm features 15 substantial above-ground storage tanks that offer secure handling of hazardous materials, thanks to the containment system enclosed by a reinforced concrete wall surpassing state requirements. This enables us to offer a diverse array of products to our clients, including No. 6, No. 4, No. 2, Aviation Kerosene, and Liquid Asphalt.
Furthermore, our tank farm offers a fuel depot station comprising a scale house/operations center, a truck weigh station, and 15 commercial truck loading rack stations for rapid, efficient, and cost-effective loading and dispatching of tank trucks. Our Tank Terminal is advantageously positioned in Houston's port, which is a major hub for petroleum production and export on a global scale. The facility is equipped with pressurized tanks, nitrogen compensation systems, and advanced vapor return technology.
